How does it feel to sip a cup of coffee in the sky?
Two weeks ago, I was invited by a good friend to the newly opened Café at Mt. Cabuyao, Benguet Province owned by a corporation of her father in law. It is named Café in the Sky. Never heard of it. But it intrigued me that they kept saying it is located near La Presa. So where is actually La Presa? Well Admittedly am not a big fan of ABS-CBN Teleserye "Forevermore" starring love team Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, where they featured Benguet strawberry farm. However when I saw the place, my eyes can't get enough of it,. you will know when you see it :)

We went there and had to wake up early in the morning to catch the sunrise (was always a fan of sunrise and sunset called golden hour )
So here's the catch about the café as some of you may be asking now..
From Manila, take a bus going to Baguio City at Cubao Station, fare of an air-con bus is 450Php.
It is a 30-minute ride from Baguio Town Proper. Actually there is no direct mean of transportation going there. You may rent a taxi from town proper which will cost you roughly around 250 pesos. But of course some of us have to save a penny for our travel. So you might want to ride a jeep going to Marcos Highway junction and from there, you get to rent a tamaraw fx which may cost you 150 pesos.(But as of the moment as an update from my friend, due to very high demand on holidays, rates of taxi and fx had changed. Approximately 1000 to 1500 pesos back n forth on taxi fare, so it is suggested to hike from turning point which is around 5 to 7 km)
Because it is up there at around 1987 meters altitude above sea level. Well, no wonder it was named Café in the Sky, believe me when I say you may have an up close encounter with the clouds and almost touching the sky :) of which most of us got fascinated.
The café was owned by St. Thomas Peak Corporation.
The idea started early last January 2014 when group of friend having a chat decided to put up a café exactly at the spot where their enjoying their drinks. It was later on agreed and established into now functional café restaurant. It is located at Mt. Kabuyao, Benguet, Mountain Province near the famous teleserye "Forevermore".
The lodging is expected to be fully operational by January 2015 since they only started soft opening December 2014. Rooms have private toilet and can accommodate 2 persons and maximum of 4. Estimated rate is 2200 Php per night of stay with breakfast for 2 (overnight rates may vary as applicable). There will also be a tent area for group of friends who wanted to stay.
The café offers International cuisine and brewed coffee from their very own Benguet province.
As I left the place, I only have one thing in mind, I shall return to savor the taste of coffee plus aroma of clouds damping your cheeks. I honestly crave to taste the food here as we are time constraint and have to leave early. Of which that is the sad part..
